This past February, I was diagnosed with ADHD.
Like many Black women, my symptoms had been overlooked or mislabeled since childhood. Research shows that Black women are often diagnosed with ADHD much later in life than their peers because symptoms are frequently misread or dismissed.
Before this diagnosis, I had already been navigating panic disorder and anxiety since 2021. What I didn’t know until later is that ADHD and anxiety frequently occur together. Studies show that ADHD has one of the highest rates of comorbidity with anxiety disorders, including panic disorder. In other words, having one significantly increases the likelihood of experiencing the other, and the symptoms often intensify each other.
By the time my psychiatrist prescribed the non-stimulant Guanfacine for my ADHD symptoms, I was just relieved to finally have language for what I had been experiencing. And I was also grateful because I have a psychiatrist who supports herbal approaches, understands my work, and actively collaborates with me.
He even told me about the interaction between Guanfacine and St. John’s Wort (this herb can cause Guanfacine to be less effective) before I could ask, which allowed me to adjust my blends and keep my body safe. He encouraged me to continue using herbal remedies as part of my care, not instead of medication, but in harmony with it.
That permission to treat my healing as a holistic ecosystem changed everything.
Once I began managing ADHD with medication, herbs, and consistent care, I realized something important: my wellbeing depended on the simple moments I intentionally created for myself. Complexity was the enemy. Ritual was the antidote.
Daily rituals became the glue that held my mind together when executive dysfunction tried to pull it apart. They grounded me during anxious spirals, softened my panic triggers, and reminded me to be present inside my own body.
And so, the Ritual Box was born.
Not as a product. But as a tool. A companion. A structure for softness in a world that constantly demands urgency.
So What’s Inside the Ritual Box
Nervous-System Support Herbal Tea
Each Ritual Box includes one mood-supporting tea blend crafted with nervines and adaptogens like St. John’s Wort, Holy Basil, or Oatstraw. These herbs gently guide your body toward calm and restore emotional balance. Every sip is intentionally formulated to soften your edges and bring your nervous system back into harmony. All we ask is that if you use these teas in conjunction with medication, like me, you do your due diligence and check in with your doctor about interactions.
Hand-Crafted Incense Blend
Our incense is blended for clarity, grounding, and emotional release. As it burns, it creates a sensory shift that helps you step out of overwhelm and into presence.
Guided Ritual PDF
This is the heart of the Ritual Box. Each box comes with a QR code for you to scan for your ritual. It leads you through grounding practices like breathwork, intention-setting, journaling, and mindful slowing. These rituals draw on ancestral and traditional healing methods and make your evening tea or afternoon reset feel like a moment of restoration rather than another item on your to-do list.
You can use the Ritual Box to create a ritual that feels natural, comforting, and repeatable—one that supports your mental hygiene and emotional well-being every single day. At least that’s the gift it’s been for me.
The Ritual Box is for anyone craving a gentler way to move through the world, those seeking steadiness, emotional grounding, soft endings to long days, and intentional beginnings to new ones. Whether you’re winding down, journaling, meditating, or simply trying to return to yourself after a week that asked for too much, the Ritual Box becomes a steady companion in your care.
And ultimately, the Ritual Box matters because it restores what our lives often strip away: the feeling of being supported, seen, and held. It reminds you that gentleness is not earned, it’s your birthright. Returning to ritual is returning to yourself, and you deserve that kind of care every single day.
At The Land of Milk & Honey Apothecary, everything we create is rooted in a single intention: to help you feel supported, seen, and held. If this resonated with you, explore the Ritual Box here and create a moment of calm for yourself today.
